The original campus of Cossatot Vocational-Technical School, now UA Cossatot is located in De Queen, AR. This campus, which serves as the primary administrative campus, is divided into ten separate buildings and areas containing approximately 98,000 square feet. Our classrooms and lab spaces are well equipped and maintained, and our Trade and Industry shops and lab spaces feature industry standard equipment and training. Computer labs, a language lab, and Internet labs for research and distance education students, as well as audiovisual classrooms and technology, are available to students. As the need arises and funds become available, the facilities are expanded and improved.

UA Cossatot provides a Testing Center on the DeQueen, Ashdown, and Nashville campuses. The types of testing provided by the Center include:

  1. Instructor and NextGen Accuplacer placement testing are available on demand at all locations.
  2. CLEP, NACE, TEAS, and other assessments are available at certain locations by appointment.
  3. GED testing is available in English and Spanish on the DeQueen and Nashville Campuses at no charge. GED testing is consistent with State regulations and participants must make apply for testing. Contact your local adult education center for more details.

The Lockesburg Campus, located at 128 E. Main Lockesburg, AR, is home to the Lockesburg Industrial Maintenance Institute (LIMI) and the historic gymnasium, restored in 2017 to its original 1953 appearance, where the home games for the Cossatot Colts men’s and women’s basketball games are played.  The main LIMI building, containing approximately 10,000 square feet and housed in the former Lockesburg High School, was renovated to its original 1954 appearance for the 2018-19 academic year and consists of seven rooms used for both classroom instruction and hands-on application.  A second LIMI facility on this campus is a metal shop building used for welding instruction.

The Educational Resource Center (ERC) is a one-stop academic center that offers numerous resources for study and research, including about 10,000 books, periodicals (magazines and newspapers), media (audio, video, DVDs), and 24/7 access to many online databases that provide educational and instructional resources for UA Cossatot’s students, faculty, staff, and community users. There is an ERC conveniently located at: Kimball Bldg. at De Queen; Room 104 at Nashville; and Room 216 at Ashdown. The ERC offers free tutoring, along with various tutorials and workshops for individual or group education during each semester. A knowledgeable staff is available during posted hours. The ERC also manages the UA Cossatot Textbook Program. Students may visit the ERC at any campus to pick up textbooks.

If you are a person with a documented disability and need accommodations to attend classes, please fill out the Disability Services Packet and contact the Disability Services at the campus where you plan to attend. Applications for accommodations are accepted at any time during the semester. The College recommends submitting requests as early as possible to allow time to make any necessary arrangements.
