Textbook Rental

UA Cossatot is the first college in Arkansas to provide the option to rent course-required textbooks for a maximum fee of $30 each per semester, directly from the college. As part of this program, many instructors are using free open educational resources (OER) to teach, eliminating the need for a textbook.

Students should check the syllabus for each course to determine if a textbook is required, and visit the Educational Resource Center (ERC) to rent textbooks.

If renting books, students will be asked to sign a rental agreement form for rentals and a purchase agreement form for courses requiring supplemental software. Students may opt out of the program and purchase or rent their textbooks elsewhere after notifying the ERC.
