Tri-County Fall Fest in Lockesburg

Treasure seekers, 5k runners, fall lovers, and ArkLaTex families are invited for a weekend of fall festivities at the UA Cossatot Lockesburg Campus October 20 and 21 starting at 9:00 a.m. each day.
Lockesburg Lions Club, De Queen/Sevier County Chamber of Commerce, Lockesburg Volunteer Fire Department, De Queen Medical Center, and University of Arkansas Cossatot organizations are collaborating to create a weekend of family fun at the UA Cossatot Lockesburg Campus.
Friday, October 20, will be Blue Darter Trade Days with vendors selling crafts, collectibles, antiques, and more at the UA Cossatot Bank of Lockesburg Gymnasium from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A concession stand will also be open. Vendors wanting to participate can contact Zebbie Launius at 870-584-1178.
Saturday, October 21, will kick off with Blue Darter Trade Days at 9:00 a.m. and fall festivities will begin at 2:00 p.m. Activities include a pumpkin patch, hayrides, petting zoo, games, and more. There will be a small entry fee per person.
Bingo, previously a Lockesburg Senior Class fundraiser, will be hosted by De Queen Medical Center and proceeds will benefit the UAC Student Diversity Association. Loceksburg’s legendary Archie’s Chili will also be served on the 21st starting at lunch.
The Chamber’s Running Dead zombie 5k will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the park. Zombies and runners will pay a $30 entrance fee and receive a t-shirt.
At 7:30 p.m. a FREE family feature film will begin in the field behind the Lockesburg Dollar General. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Pets are not allowed.
The fire department will also host a haunted house at their facility beginning at 7:00 p.m.
