Heritage Campaign

UA Cossatot Foundation would like to invite YOU to leave a heritage.

History

The Lockesburg gym, high school, and middle school, opened in 1953 and closed in 2010. In 2017, UA Cossatot was given the exciting opportunity to expand its campus to Lockesburg and repurpose the facilities to better serve students of Southwest Arkansas. In addition, the original Lockesburg Campus is now proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Renovations to the gym and the high school were made possible by grants, sales tax support, and the generous donations of Lockesburg businesses, organizations, and residents.

UA Cossatot recently received a $336,000 grant from the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resource Council to begin Phase 1 of renovations to the Lockesburg Middle School. We are now asking you to leave a heritage by giving to the blue darter heritage campaign. By giving, you will be helping complete the task of renovating the entire old Lockesburg High School Campus.

20% of all monies raised through this campaign will go toward funding the Blue Darter Heritage Scholarship, only available to students residing in the 71846 zip code.

Furnishings for the Middle School

Scholarship

Leaving a Heritage

There are many ways in which donors can be an important part of the Blue Darter Heritage Campaign. Leaving a heritage can include naming a room, building, or brick.
