100% of CCCUA ‘04 LPN Grads Pass State Nursing Exam

DE QUEEN – The entire 2004 graduating class of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas has passed the State’s licensing exam, according to a report issued by Kim Dickerson, Chair of the College’s Division of Nursing and Allied Health.

Dickerson said, “The news of our students achieving a 100% pass rate, coupled with the launch of our new LPN-to-RN program next January means a lot for current LPNs in southwest Arkansas in terms of their ability to have access to further their education.”
      The list of graduates and their hometowns are listed below:  Janice Berton, Nashville; Shelly Carter, Winthrop; Brenda Clift, DeQueen; Karen Cunningham, DeQueen; Amy Ellis, Dierks; Lana Halter, Dierks; Joe Hodges, Horatio; Karin Jones, Winthrop; Cortney Keeton, Ashdown; Dana Merchant, Nashville; LaDonna Dorsey, DeQueen; Jessica Turner, Lockesburg.

 Cossatot Community College offers both technical certification and Associate’s degrees in a wide range of fields on its campus at De Queen, at extension sites at Nashville and Ashdown, and at cccua.edu. It has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students, and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
