CCCUA Releases Chancellor’s, Dean’s Lists

DE QUEEN – Kristin Bowden, Vice Chancellor and Dean of Academic Services at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas, has released the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists for the spring 2004 term.
The qualification for inclusion on the Chancellor’s List is a 4.0 grade point average after completing 12 hours of college-level courses. The Chancellor’s List honorees are:

Bowden said of the students who made the lists, "We are very pleased that we have this many high-achieving students. For the Spring, 2003 term, we had 43 on the Chancellor’s list and 49 on the Dean's list. This term, we have 56 on the Chancellor’s List and 71 on the Dean's List. We attribute at least part of the change to the steady increase in our enrollment, and that students are realizing that prospective employers take a hard look at how hard they worked at their studies.” Spring, 2004 enrollment was up over 5% from 2003, to 1109.
Cossatot Community College offers both technical certification and Associate’s degrees in a wide range of fields on its campus at De Queen, at extension sites at Nashville and Ashdown, and at cccua.edu. It has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students, and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
