DE QUEEN – Kim Dickerson, Chair of the Division of Nursing and Allied Health at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas, has announced the list of graduates for the 2002-2003 Practical Nursing Program. The Pinning Ceremony for the graduates was held Friday, June 27th at De Queen’s First Assembly of God Church on Highway 70 West.

Dickerson added that Sandy Cowling was named “Outstanding PN Student of the Year” for 2003. The selection is based on grade point average, community service, and activity/participation in the Arkansas Licensed Practical Nurse’s Association (ALPNA).
Cossatot Community College offers both technical certification and Associate’s degrees in a wide range of fields on its campus at De Queen, at extension sites at Nashville and Ashdown, and at cccua.edu. It has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students, and is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Higher Learning.
