New Radio Tower at Nashville Campus
NASHVILLE - The radio tower once located on the old Howard Memorial Hospital property was moved to the Nashville campus of Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas to be repurposed for use. The tower, donated by Howard Memorial Hospital, will be used to broadcast a signal for the Radio Broadcast Program at Cossatot and the new non-commercial Public ration station KTYC. The station will be run by student interns. Many local organizations, such as the hospital and Howard County Ambulance Service will also use the tower for communications and dispatch services. Howard County Emergency Management is writing a grant to fund a generator for use during a power failure.
