CCCUA Spring Enrollment Up Again
DE QUEEN – Maria Parker, PhD, Vice Chancellor of Academics at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas, announced today that the College’s Spring enrollment is on track to set another record.
At the close of registration, CCCUA had almost 1600 students enrolled. Many of the concurrent students, or students who are enrolled in high school and college, are not counted in that number. These students have a few days longer to complete the necessary paperwork for admission.
“While we won’t have the final student count until the eleventh class day, right now, Cossatot has the highest enrollment ever for a spring semester,” said Parker. “What we are also noticing is that more and more students are becoming full-time, instead of part-time and I think this is partly due to students and parents placing more and more importance on getting a certificate or transfer degree more quickly.”
This is the sixth year in a row for record student enrollment for CCCUA.
“More local students are realizing the value of CCCUA,” added Parker. With one of the lowest tuition rates in the state for in-district residents combined with quality education, our college is dedicated to the success of the student.”
