The Collision Repair Department at Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas is ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certified through NATEF. The program sets forth the basic principles of automotive collision repair on frame/body and uni-body designs. The automobile-body professional repairs damaged car bodies and body parts according to repair manuals. This course trains students in estimating, metalworking, sanding, painting, aligning frames, and installing glass. Training also includes procedures to remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and mechanical window-and-seat operating equipment and trim, to gain access to vehicle body and fenders.
