Part of CCCUA’s mission and purposes is a commitment to bringing educational opportunities to our communities beyond what the college is allowed to offer through its own programs of study. One of these opportunities is a partnership with SAU in Magnolia to offer the P-4 Bachelors in Education degree in the De Queen and Nashville area. Students who have completed the AAT P-4 degree at CCCUA can chose to enter this program which operates as a cohort of students taking classes together, beginning in the Fall of each year. The SAU classes are usually offered three evenings per week beginning at 4pm for three semesters. The fourth semester will be the student internship in a local public elementary school. Students can attend some of the classes via interactive video classrooms in De Queen and Nashville. The interactive classrooms allow for student communication with the instructor no matter which site he or she attends.
Completion of the AAT P-4 requires the passage of the Praxis I exam as well.
