Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas seeks to enhance and support workforce and economic development through various types of training programs and services to industries and small businesses. The Workforce Development and Continuing Education team works with companies and their employees to become more competitive through quality, cost-effective training and services that contribute to continuous workforce improvement.
Existing Workforce Training Program
Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas is proud to work with industries that are eligible to participate in the Existing Workforce Training Program. The primary purpose of the E.W.T.P. is to provide financial assistance to Arkansas' manufacturing industries for upgrading the skills of their existing workforce.
Apprenticeship is a relationship between an employer and an employee during which the employee, or apprentice, learns an occupation. An apprenticeship covers all aspects of the occupation and includes both on-the-job training and related instruction. Apprentices who successfully complete the prescribed number of hours in training in a registered apprenticeship program are awarded certificates of completion.
